Whistleblowing.

To enable people to report wrongdoing safely and to protect them from retaliation, consistent with Law No. 06/L-085.

Purpose

To enable people to report wrongdoing safely and to protect them from retaliation, consistent with Law No. 06/L-085.

Key commitments

  • A wide range of wrongdoing can be reported, from fraud and bribery to safeguarding and data concerns.
  • Reports may be made to the Executive Director or, where they implicate the ED or a board member, to the Chair or an independent contact.
  • Reports are handled confidentially, assessed and investigated proportionately.
  • Good-faith reporters are protected from dismissal, demotion, harassment or other detriment.
  • Serious matters are escalated to the Board and, where required, to the competent authorities.
